"PRECIOUS RESOURCE: ABUNDANCE RECYCLED" FREEWAY UNDERPASS |
||
|---|---|---|---|
| Funded by the City of Phoenix Planning Department and dedicated in November 2001. Kristine collaborated with artists Joan Baron and Felicie Regnier to create this art at the 16th St. & I-17 underpass. The artists collaborated with children from Ann Ott Elementary School to come up with a design which would reflect an interest in recycled materials and precious resources found in our environment. | |||
Metal sculptures inspired from cacti and plants. Made from scrap steel and aluminum. The calming, precious qualities of water. Cactus pads include saw blades on square steel plates. Thanks to the Maricopa Skill Center for providing space and equipment! |
